Common Scenarios
Why retail and e-commerce businesses call us
Buying Q4 inventory in August
Suppliers want a deposit on booking and the balance before the container ships, months before a single unit sells. Working capital or a line covers the buy and gets repaid out of the season it made possible.
A product takes off and you're out of stock
Ad performance is the best it's ever been and inventory runs out in eleven days. This is the most expensive stockout in retail, and it's the clearest case for capital that funds in 24 to 48 hours.
Marketplace payouts on hold while suppliers want wires
Platform reserves and 14-day payout cycles mean your money exists but isn't yours yet. Short-term capital bridges the hold without slowing reorders.
Funding That Fits
Which option usually fits — and why
Listed in the order they most often come up for this industry. Most files end up using one; some use two together.

What you'll need
- Six or more months of selling history
- Roughly $10,000+ per month in processor or marketplace deposits
- A business bank account receiving the payouts
- Platform or processor statements — Shopify, Stripe, Square, Amazon, PayPal all read fine
- Inventory or supplier detail for larger inventory requests
- An equipment quote for equipment financing
How Lenders Read It
Sharp seasonality doesn't hurt you here — a December that's four times June is normal and expected. What it does affect is sizing: lenders work from a trailing average across several months, not from your single best month, so applying in the middle of peak won't get you peak-sized numbers.

Questions from retail and e-commerce owners
Do you work with Amazon, Shopify, and marketplace sellers?
Yes. Platform-based sellers are funded routinely, and several lenders in the network specialize in reading processor and marketplace statements. Having those reports ready speeds the file up considerably.
Does my inventory have to be pledged as collateral?
Usually not. Most working capital and lines of credit in the network are unsecured, though a general lien on business assets and a personal guarantee are common. Anything pledged will be stated in the offer before you sign.
Most of my revenue comes through one channel. Is that a problem?
It comes up. Heavy concentration in a single platform is a risk lenders price for, especially if that platform can freeze payouts. It rarely disqualifies a healthy seller, but it may affect the amount offered.
