The Process

Four steps. No mystery.

Most applicants see offers within one business day. Here is exactly what happens between your application and the wire.

Step by Step

What happens after you apply

One application, a same-day review, offers side by side, then the wire. No stage of it is a black box.

1

Apply in ten minutes

Complete one short application and attach your three most recent business bank statements. That's the entire ask. Submitting an application does not affect your credit score.

What we look at: monthly revenue, time in business, industry, and existing obligations. What we don't need: business plans, projections, or collateral for most products.

2

Your advisor reviews the same day

A Steedmont funding advisor — a person, with a phone number you can call back — reviews your file, asks any clarifying questions, and identifies which products and lenders fit your revenue profile.

Files submitted before 2:00 PM ET are typically reviewed the same business day.

3

Compare real offers, plainly stated

We package your file to the lenders most likely to approve it and present the resulting offers side by side: amount, total payback, schedule, and every fee — on one page. You choose, negotiate, or walk away.

You pay Steedmont nothing at this stage or any stage. Our compensation comes from the lender, only upon funding.

4

Sign and get funded

Accept an offer, sign electronically, and complete a short verification call with the lender. Funds are wired directly to your business bank account — in as fast as 24 hours from the day you first applied.

Funding speed depends on the product and how quickly documents come back. Same-week funding is the norm; same-day is common for working capital.

Questions, Answered

The things people ask before applying.

Will applying hurt my credit?

No. The initial application uses a soft inquiry, which does not affect your score. A hard inquiry occurs only if you accept an offer from a lender that requires one, and you'll know before that happens.

What does Steedmont charge?

Businesses pay us nothing out of pocket. We're paid a commission by the funding provider when a deal funds. If you never fund, you never owe us anything.

What are the minimum qualifications?

Lower than most people expect: as little as three months in business and $5,000+ in monthly revenue for our startup-friendly programs, plus a business bank account. Stronger revenue and more time in business unlock larger funding and better pricing. Weaker credit is workable throughout.

Do you fund startups?

Yes. Three months of deposits in a business account is enough to see real options. Pre-revenue businesses are the exception, since these programs are underwritten on deposits.

Is my information safe?

Your documents are used solely to obtain funding offers and are shared only with lenders considered for your file. We never sell application data.

What states do you serve?

All fifty. Certain states impose additional disclosure or registration requirements, which the lenders in our network and Steedmont comply with.

Ready when you are.

Ten minutes to apply. No obligation, no upfront fees, no credit impact.
